1º Día/First Day (23.08)

Lluvia, relámpagos y rayos nada más salir de casa... Parece que he tenido suerte con el impermeable que compré, realmente funciona :)) eso sí para los pies no compré impermeable... así que antes de salir de Praha ya tenía los zapatos calados :))

La experiencia en el tren de Praga-Budapest ha sido divertida, el señor que cuidaba de las camas y demás sólo sabía decir en inglés "tickets" y "moment" el resto era una retaila en Húngaro que cualquiera entendía.. :)

A pesar de que no pude dormir, el viaje fue bueno.. Sin embargo la estación de Keleti en Budapest estaba atestada de gente, la cola para el cajero kilométrica...





Allí Peter consiguió entenderse (no sé aún en que idioma) con las personas que vendían tickets y así conseguimos el ticket hacia Lőkösháza ya cerca de la frontera con Romania, después de hablar con el revisor y un poco más de 3h de viaje (con siesta incluida) conseguimos ir a Curtici, donde pisamos tierra Rumana por primera vez... Así que agarramos a nuestas "bestias mecánicas" y empezamos a pedalear desde Curtici a Arad... Arad es una ciudad con bastante poca cosa que ver... Hablando de ver... me pareció ver a una niña de unos 10 años inhalando pegamento en una bolsa... (digo me pareció, pero aún así me impactó)...

Aqui en Arad después de sacar los primeros LEI (billetes plastificados... muy interesante) nos dirijimos a la estación donde sacamos el billete para Râmnicu Vâlcea, no nos quedó claro si podíamos subir bicis al tren... pero al final decidimos arriesgarnos y comprar el billete y luego preguntar al revisor (en rumano es "conductor")... Ibamos casí tarde... sólo había niños de unos 15 años y sin rastro del "conductor" así que decidimos subir las bicis como pudimos y de repente apareció el revisor a decir que de bicis nada... Y una mujer que había allí hizo de ángel y se lo cameló de alguna forma y al final pues 7h de viaje sin sitio donde sentarse entre "teenagers" que iban de excursión a la playa, y que nos invitabán a cerveza y vodka :)... Al final teníamos que parar en Craivova para cambiar de tren a las 3:30 am y allí esperar hasta las 5:00 donde nos llevaría otro tren hasta Râmnicu Vâlcea...




Fue ahí en este segundo tren donde los revisores nos dijeron que no había problema por las bicis, pero luego nos abrieron las manos una vez en el tren para dar una propina :) En fin que le dimos más de lo que debíamos, pero a cambio nos dejaron en paz todo el viaje ;) Al final nos bajamos del tren a las 8:30am osea a pedalear sin dormir nada en dos días...

Rain, thunders and lightnings just when I went out from home, I was glad because the jacket I bought was really waterproof, but for the shoes I didn't buy anything... so the first day of trip even before going out from Prague the shoes were completely wet...


Prague - Budapest train trip was funny, the man who was taking care of the "Sleeping Vagon" only knew in english: "tickets" and "moment", the rest was speaking in Hungarian like we were Hungarians :)

Although I couldn't sleep, the trip was ok... When we arrived to Keleti Station in Budapest was so so crowdy, the atm line was scary ...

Anyway Pet'o managed to get 2 tickets to Lőkösháza wich is near the Romanian border already... At the end we managed to pass the frontier in that train, to a village called Curtici, from there we took our bikes and we ride to Arad, where we got our first lei, this plastified bank notes :) Arad didn't look so interesting, quite industrial city (at least the part we saw)... Near the train station It seemed to me that I saw a girl sniffing glue in a bag (I said it seemed to me but anyway it shock me a little bit)....

There in Arad we could get some tickets to Râmnicu Vâlcea via Craivova changing the train there.... The train to Craivova, was full of 16 years old teenagers from a school heading to the Coast... It was good to have them there, because the teacher of those students help us.. with the "conductor" of the train wich did not want to leave our bikes inside the train (officially is not allow to transport bikes inside romanian trains)... but she could conviced him... The trip was for 7h without seats because we had to be near the bikes, but the students came to us to offer some Vodka and Beer so was not so bad :)))

When we arrived to Craivova we had to wait for at least 1 hour, so we got in the second train after 5am, and after we "gave some tip" (more than we should) to the conductors for the bikes, we arrived at 8:30 to Râmnicu Vâlcea where we took our bikes without sleeping of course :S
